    What PC system requirements do I need to use Memory-Map?


    Maps can be used from the CD or your PC Hard drive.Minimum System Requirements: Microsoft Windows XP, 2000 128MBRAM, 100Mb hard-disk space. Minimum PC screen resolution 800 x 600.

    3D World requires support for Microsoft DirectX 9.0c or later - you can test Memory-Map 3D World with the Free Trial download to check compatibility.

      it's basically a digital OS map, if you use a GPS reciever with it it will track your position on the map, or scroll the map to keep you in the centre, record the route you've taken and so on. You can mark tracks and routes on the map, effectively just highlighting them to make them easier to see.

      MM is seemingly the most popular, but basically coz it's found it's way into the high street, there's a few alternatives.

        Thanks for the info guys. Picked up an old IBM Thinkpad T21, 800 mhz, 20 gig hard drive, 256 mb of ram. Good nick, with a leather carry case, for £50.

        Going to invest in a USB GPS receiver, saw one on Ebay for £23.00 inc delivery.
