To clear this one up, 'green lanes' (which the publicly accessible trails on Salisbury Plain are) are bound by the usual rules of the road. You need MOT, TAX, Insurance, and reg plates. A lot of pay and play sites insist that your vehicle is road legal too, at least for certain days.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

My plates are from tiger same as you mate. Just went for a toyota badge an a lil thing along the bottom. Both of which are MOT failures acording to the posters there... luckily no one gave a sh!t about it.

i had my front plate taped with white insulating tape to my passenger sun visor for months, and never had any problems with the law, even stopped and asked a copper at an ANPR van if it was legal and he said strictly speaking no but his camera had read it fine so he thought i was unlikely to ever get pulled for it, so long as it was clearly visible and readable from outside the car=========

I thought they had to be reflective? The sticky ones aren't and are therefore illegal. I got fined years ago for having a sticky one on the bonnet of my Tiger Avenger, the reflective thing was the reason given for the charge.Do you know that, with a 50 character limit, it's

you can still get white and yellow reflective self adhesive backgrounds from factors but even those carry a sticker 'not for road use'
I know there is something that says a plate must be tamperproof, I got arround this by getting a background, sticking seperate letters on then covering with a clear self adhesive film...bit like fablon I have been told the only requirement it does not meet is having the reflective standard on it but as it is an 'M' plate that is not a requirement if original....which of course it is!Did I mention I have a BLUE one
