Things hovering in Lincolnshire eh? Well fancy that! Cant be anything to do with having a huge concentration of airfields can it? Nah... and defoo nothing to do with having a huge helicopter population, including Apache up there, oooh noooo... It's MUCH more likely that any lights seen in the sky are from some other solar system than a helicopter from a base just down the road...

Reminds me of the Louis Theroux prog about UFO spotters in the states. One woman saying "some of them disguise themselves to appear identical to conventional aircraft" - well duh!!!

Is it possible that one blade failed through a flaw/fatigue/incompetence and bent the other on it's way to the ground ?

Sounds far more likely than UFOs really doesn't it, and I expect the manufacturer / owner would rather blame ET than fess up to substandard manufacture.

Could be that the imbalance resulting from one blade detatching while spinning bent the other one through applying forces it wasn't designed to withstand.
