The 3:0 V6 petrol heads are fine, it was the sub-standard head gaskets that caused a problem on some trucks and most of those where replaced via a recall.

Oh, just spotted that you are a 2.4 owner, ah well never mind, I'm sure you like your truck

i have had the 2.4 and now the 3.0l and yes the 3.0l has the extra power but thats all. There are quite a few 2.4's that have the heads go but if you look back through the forum alone and you'll see how many 3.0l heads have gone aswell. My 3.0l i have had the temperature gauge in the red twice and fingers crossed its still ok but i did blow the turbo on the first time.
You have the pulling power in the 3.0l although the 2.4 can pull but it struggles with the heavier loads.

They look cack unlifted. They ARE cack too. Used to use a Warrior a lot in my old job - including on the Plain.

Back end too light, noisy engine, feel cheap.

I've heard a few complaints about the back end being too light, Probably a common thing with most pickups.

They were massivly popular a few years back!! Every other truck was an l200.

I like the current shape model but the tailgate section of the bed is far too low.

                              .
Cant understand why. I only used to take it because the other choice was a knackered old Defender 110

At the worst time possible normally. lol Generally it's like anything if you look after it you will be fine. I abuse mine and it's still going strong. Change the oil often and keep your eye on the coolant levels
