Sorry guys i did try to explain it as best i could on the other thread. I know bushy is busy with his mates car tonight but will update you all when he can. Tech weekend still on tho but what i can make out not such a big job now. Have to go to work now so see you all tomorrow dudes.

Hello there.
Sorry for the delay, been busy with my mates GT4 Celica, (a real one btw) what a fricken' animal of a car, 330bhp and running 1.1 bar boost the intercooler spray bar has been activated too!! (Fitted to the GT4 but not connected up from the factory) Pulls yer arms out of their sockets when you floor it. .....and it's got a dump valve, (factory fit) sooo addictive.
and 50/50 split permanent 4WD of course.
Anyhoo, i digress. Mitsy's motor, It's definitely coming from the top end, and could most likely be a dropped valve as the knocking noise increases with revs and the lack of power. Camshaft is in tip top condition, oil pressure is normal, turbo OK, nothing loose or knocking/rubbing anywhere, but the engine won't start without applying a bit of throttle.
Whatever it is, the head will need to come off anyway to investigate.
Have a listen to this video I recorded, had to tell Mitsy to lay off the accelerator as oil was spraying everywhere

p.s. The cylinderhead was replaced around 12 months ago.
p.p.s She needs a rear window motor too.
p.p.p.s. We only have the one PC here at the moment, and it's being used non-stop by the missus so I can't reply in my usual faster than light manner.
