The opinion is pretty much split 50/50. Some think you're liable to be all over the shop if you have to turn sharply.
Others, such as Snatch, myself and many more think that's complete balls. Driving style is far more detrimental than a lack of A.R.B's. Plus, the uprated springs and shocks are making your suspension firmer than stock.
The only part you have to note is that you are raising the centre of gravity, and thus you have to adjust your driving style accordingly.
Oh sh1t! Agreeing with Matt again...
You are raising the CoG, but barely by a sniff. The body weighs sod all compared to the chassis / wheels / engine/ running gear etc, and that lot is the lowest bit, so the force moment arm lengthens only by a small percentage of the height increase.
However, I reckon that given a small enough brain, and big enough balls, one could roll a standard surf just about as easily as a raised one.
Both me and Mudsurfer broke the drop bracket anchor points offroad. If you use the truck offroad (hahahaha!!) dont bother. It's NOT NECESSARY with a lift that small anyway...
What reputation? I'm happily building a slightly argumentative, slightly bullshitter baiting rep on a certain amateur radio site at the mo. God, what a rich vein of pseudoscientific claptrap I've stumbled across there!

I think the question, Ian, is WTF have you done getting this stupid argument going again?
Everyone with an ounce of sense can understand that removing the ARB will affect both handling and safety.
What everyone with two ounces of sense can understand is that there are many other factors that affect handling and safety, that are far more commonly ignored than ARBs and that will have a bigger effect.
Everyone with three ounces of sense (just me on this forum) can understand that the two are not mutually exclusive and that this discussion is retarded.

Go back to your politically correct, car hiring lifestyle! This thread has a chance of rekindling the vibrant discussion we used to have. It's been terminally dull dull dull round here of late.
