But not with the Surf. Took my 15 year old Nephew out with a trailer and his new off road motorbike. There were quite a few other people there with quads and bikes and a guy doing pirouettes in the mud and ice with a LR Disco, another guy had a Jeep Cherokee.
I resisted the urge to take the Surf on the site due to the fact we wanted to give the lad a chance to ride the bike before it when too dark. The bike was “only” a Honda 125 but it had some real poke, around 45 bhp so he told me. Of course I had to have a go... it’s been 8 years since I last rode a bike (out in Africa) and 15 years since I last had a road bike (GPZ600R)... but I soon got the hang of it and found myself lifting the wheel along a private road. Then took it around the field and the woods.. really good fun.
For a 125 the seat was stupidly high and I’m no short arse but it was bit of a struggle to balance it and kick-start it without a side stand.
I might just have to get myself another bike next year.
