Well, I am sure you'll all be over the moon to know I am now the proud owner of one 1996 Surf SSR-G in metalic green

83,000 miles on the clock.

Just driven it from Poole to Edinburgh, did the trip fine, seemed to have cost about £80 in diesel, which doesn't seem too bad to me, but then I am used to a Subaru Legacy with a hole in the fuel tank

So, you can all look forward to me bugging y'all about tyres, servicing, gizmos, and whatever else enters my head. I'm sure you will be delighted at this news.

p.s. anyone want to buy a Subaru Legacy? 4 careless owners, dents and bashes in every panel, 150,000 miles. £700 woth of repairs needed to get it thru it's MOT due on 12th Jan. MOTd and taxed till then.

Naa mate, 2.0 basic model in dirty white. Gonna miss the scoobie, been a good car for 3 or 4 years, got it for free as well! Gonna miss the 'zoomy' thing it is good at, even the 2.0 normally asperated has some go to it, and obviously corners better than the surf (it's half the height). Kinds think I should take it stock car racing but I don't do that and don't know how to get into it but the scoobie I think is a good stock car, 4wd, good build, think it would win :-)

The Surf is of course a truck, and that is something to enjoy as well. It is better to drive on the m/way than the scoobie (quieter), and I'll be able to go thru those fords now only trouble is I'm already thinking about all the stuff I need to do to the surf, axle breathers and the like...
