i know one thing it aint dropped a valve,it idles to well for that,it would chuff if it had dropped one.does it smoke a lot.just remove the rubber hose from the turbo inlet and wiggle the turbo blades up and down and back and forth.also when was the last time the cam belt was changed,it might of jumped a few teeth.its deffo not an internal engine noise,could be something come loose under the cam cover.

Towards the back end of the vid it does start to misfire at idle, it seems quite lumpy, I wonder if it has a broken valve spring?

Like i keep saying im a ###### women for god sake , if she works i dont touch. I check oil water ect but nothing else. She has got through every mot so far. To frightened to mess with her more than that.

OK, I've just listened to the video and it definitely sounds like something has come loose rather than an internal problem with the engine.

It's OK when it's ticking over, no noises at all?

Just starts rattling and misfiring when you rev it?

No cooling issues and the oil pressure is ok?
