Anyone got experience of makeing rubber moulds for small parts?
i did do some for some ship fittings but they were for hard resin casting and i want to make my own tyres for these hilux kits, in the pics you can see the difference, which looks better? the V6 with it's standard wheel or with a wheel from the swamper kit, equlivent of 35 - 37's i'd guess, plus these kits are a bit basic compaired with some ship kits i've done, the spare is just a piece of molded plastic that sticks on the underside, looks feckall like a real tyre plus i wanna do some rear carrier models, So make me own and maybe rims if i can find a nice piece of alloy tube the right size,
last time i did it i used some latex to make a plyable mould for a hard plug now i need to reverse this so i end up with a rubber (ish) tyre
Aoshima kits seem better detailed than the Fujimi landcruiser one that just arrived, naff, gonna take a lot of work to detail that bugga
