I seem to fit every conceivable extra to my truck ( rear work lights - air receivers - rear power sockets - extra fron tow hook - recovery points/bridle etc etc) but never use them. that's why i'm holding back on the CB.
      is it just me???
      Everyone thinks I'm paranoid!!

I fitted a cb as I am trying to get my truck sorted for an 'atlas overland' type holiday. Also heard they were used a lot on off road sites...

If I take my truck to work I can pick up a bit of banter so it's not completely dead.

        Rob.

Often use them when off road, either pay&play or greenlanes. A couple of other groups I belong to also use them the same way.

Usefull if out in a group to have leader and tailend with CB's. If anyone has problems it can be communicated easily.

Finally most round the Plymouth area travel around on channel 19 so can have quick chat if we see each other while driving.

Had one and sold it as I never used it. Then guess what? I meet up with some local guys to go out green laning and their first question is, "You got a CB mate, as we use ours a lot when we're off road?"

Hence the purchase of another unit. The only thing is, I ain't been out with them since! ( Must have been something I said, or they were CB radio salesmen!)

How can you 'turn off' a radio frequency?
