What a bummer, feel for that bloke, this sort of $hit always happens when the weathers bad, only thing i can think is drain out the coolant, heat up around the plugs with a gas torch and then impact wrench, all else fails, off with the head and drill the ba$tards out, i dont trust any of these so called garage "services", and the bigger the garage the bigger the rip off, my sons newish bmw is currently in the main dealers for some obscure sensor problem, keeps cutting out, bound to be in the hundreds of ££££, and prob some pimple'y scroat of a apprentice prob sent ten minuits fitting a new sensor
