evening all, when i changed my oil and filter i used a none toyota filter,since the change i have a tapping on start up fron cold,tapp goes as oil pressure comes up, would the none gen filter cause this?

In honesty, unless the noise worsens, I wouldn't worry about it. I doubt many, (if any), of these engines still purr from cold.

the top end on my truck rattles like a rattly thing.If the oil pressure is half way up then its ok but as soon as the oil pressure goes down a bit it rattles all the time.
I think i need to get the shims replaced in mine as this only happened when i blew the turbo a couple of years ago and lost oil pressure and high tempshttps://www.facebook.com/groups/henpals/
