  • lift, camber and recall

I have tried to find an answer to this honest.

since doing the lovely sus lift complete with BJ spacers, my drivers side front wheel is very toed in a the bottom and noticably sticking out at the top making driving.. interesting.

This is all fine and I was planning on getting all the alignment done after the lift anyway.

Am I right that when they do the steering recall done they do all the tracking and camber etc. in which case I may as well leave it until then? Just been on toyota and they are coming back to me (said it could take a month!!!)

If they don't get off their arses I'll have to get it sorted anyway before the biostein games.

I'm getting body lift done this weekend then fitting 33's so should I make sure that its all done with the 33's fitted or does it make no odds.

Orrr... is sorting out the camber something that can be done yourself at elast to the point where I can live with it for a while?

Shouldn't make much difference if the 33's are on.

I'd personally get them on before tracking. Just so you know its spot on with them fitted.

My truck was very toe in for a while. handling is soo much better now its sorted!

i'd get it done once the 33's are on as you want it spot on. the body lift wont't make a differance to the alignment.

BJ spacers shouldn't have affected toe angle. I guess you mean camber? I'm not sure they'll adjust that when they do the recall, unless they are feeling charitable. You could always speak to the techy who's doing the recall and offer to drop him a few quid if he does it for you.

I think I do mean camber. when I look at the Surf from the front the wheel is at a slight angle so the top edge protrudes from the wheel arch and the bottom edge is angled inwards?
