  • 8" or 10" wide rim for 33's

i have ordered my khumo 33's and they should be here some time this week, BUT, i got a puncture today and went and had it plugged. As the tyre was off the rim i measured the rim width and was 8" wide, will this be ok for the 33x12.5 khumo's?
or do i need new wider 10" rims,
    thanks will

i think you cant have a rim 4" smaller than the tyre width or something like that. i run 12.50 on 8 at the moment. Want to run a 17.50 but i think i need a 14x 15 rim then
Completely bitten by the off road bug, and what better vehicle to do it in!

if you want the wider beefier looking stance then go for the15x10s.You wont get the full 33" height with them tho but they do look great. The ones i got are 15x10 with -52 offset and they sick out lovely but you will need to remove the mudflap or cut a piece out and maybe flatten the end of the sill to prevent rubbing

Depends on the height of the tyre. 35x17.50 is VERY fat for its height. So probably will need a 14" wide rim. But a 40" + x 19 or so would be happy on a 12" rim because of the extra sidewall.
