As many of you can predict, as a new user its help that is required.
I currently live in France and have imported a 95 2nd gen KZN130KTE. To allow me to register the vehicle here, the french version of VOSPA are asking for a european E-Type approval number. I have tried to explain via the 'can you tell the difference between the 4Runner and the Surf routine' but to no avail.
My understanding so far, is that the 12 member states had to conform by Jan 1st 96 and E numbers had to be given to vehicles from this date onwards. Though, states that thought it was a good idea prior to this date will have phased this system in. Another idea put to me was 'model reports' does anybody know how useful this would be and where can I get one for my model of Surf.
I also know that cars manufactured for the U.S. and Japanese markets will not carry this E number.
Any pointers to people who can help or know more than me on this subject will be greatly received. Many thanks in advance, Tanu.
