new member can't post?

I've been asked to put this to you guys by a new member from FOG;


"Hi , can one of the admin on the surf forum please tell me why I cant post anything. when I try to post it says I dont have the privelidges because admin have frozen me or I'm not activated. when I click the link in the activation email it says I am already activated. It wont even let me contact anyone to find out why "

I had the same problem, ended up starting all over again with new email,password & user name.

fun being forced to wait ! non-members can't even view attachments. not too good for the sales section

It was done due to the excessive spam we were getting and the graphic porn that was posted ..............

This is a minor friendly forum and how would you like your child to look at hardcore porn that some spammer has posted as the mods could not get to it quick enough

I have checked and there is no user by the name of FOG registered on the on the forum, so that may just explain why you cant post.
You can contact me at the bottom of the page its where it says 'contct us' click on this and you can send me an email. Please add the email address you are trying to register with, it sounds more like you have already used your email address to register another user name.
Drop me an email and I will take a look.

Thanks for the replies, I seem to recall you need to wait 24/36 hours? to be cleared.
His username isn't FOG I think it'll be "bobbinsjob" I've passed the info on....................but he'll be able to read it for himself

Maybe thats the problem, I know thats what he uses on FOG, don't know what hes tried here....maybe duplicating a username?

it should be ok using the same username on different forums as i do myself.
The only thing is if like koi said he's put in a wrong email or maybe password

there is a user called bobbinsjob, to date he has not posted and as such his first post needs to be in the new user section. If hes trying to post anywhere else on the forum for his first post it will not let him.

thats probably it as i did see the name in as a new user at the bottom of the main page.I thought i was going doolally
