  • Tow hitch

As I will still need to use my military trailer I need to fit the spare NATO hitch (dixon bate towing jaw) the problem I have is I need to raise the towing ball position up about 8-10 inches but the bumper is in the way meaning not only do I need to raise it I have to step it out 2 or 3 inches too.

I haven't the steel or a powerful enough welder to make such a thing, any ideas?

    Cheers

I think you are gonna have to bite the bullet and pay someone with the steel and a powerful enough welder to do the job for you. You dont want to be bodging it and it fall off!
Its not much of a job and shouldnt take too long especially as you have the towbar in place already. You just need a modification to it.

I may have had a bit of luck, the bloke I bought the surf off has told me of a bloke just up the road from me that could make one up for me, don't know if he will yet but will find out tomorrow, the bloke is a pro welder/fabricator.
