at 23, ive learnt that NOTHING is EVER simple..

thats why people like me who work in an office pay someone else to do anything involved like that. that way, if it goes wrong its not up to me and grey hair to sort out

Richard, driving there & back in a day would be too much for me, I'd have to come down on a friday night & stay at a B&B or a pub, obviously her indoors will come too & we'd make a weekend of it, I didn't want to bother you knowing the situation right now but if you really don't mind then I'll start to make arrangements.

            Cheers

well i've sorted the steering issue. slackened things off, hit the bulkhead with a big hammer and tightened it all up. works lovely now.

gonna do a weeks worth of research now on how to change the rear springs and tweak the torsion bars.

the good news is i've ordered my Maxxis buckshot mudder 33's, and they should be here on tuesday. then need to find a nice garage who won't charge the earth to fit them.

              cheers for all the help.

When you find out about the torsion bars tell me please, i might have to jack mine up a bit, i know you need to have the front jacked well up so the wheels are hanging but i'm $hit scared the bolts gonna go bang, they look bigguns

They'll be fine Ian, mine turned really easily.
It takes about 12-15 full turns of the bolt heads to raise the front 1". Dab a spot of white paint on one edge of the bolt heads so you can count the number of turns. The wheels need to be off the ground, but you can do one side at a time if thats easier for you.

Cheer's Vince, is that clockwise turn to lift or the other way, and i believe the maximum is one and a half inches safely,

Clockwise to lift. Do about 10 turns each side, lower truck to the ground and bounce the front as if checking shock absorbers then measure. Repeat if necessary.

When you do the 2" suspension lift do you need to fit bigger shocks? I'm getting myself sorted to take the trip down to Richards so I need to make sure I have what I'll need, the rear is done so we're just going to do the fronts.

                            Cheers

you should be ok with the standard shocks unless your going to do anything harder than green lanes
