Removal of plastic window covers

Just as an add

I have a "Steam Genie" so I'll try that for ridding the doors of the nasty adhesive tape.

I'll post up the results if any good!

please tell cos mine is an absolute b*****d to get off, ended up putting them back on.

As some one else said use a hairdryer and a wooden/plastic scraper (or if you are real careful a heat gun but they can be a bit fierce) and WD40 or similar to remove the adhesive residue from the paint. Wash and polish up and presto, gone!

Done! Jobs a goodun. Just got to clean the adhesive tape from the paint work, no worries I know how to acheive that!

Its the cheesy plastic rain deflector things! Sure they must act like air brakes! Seem to be clips just holding them to the window recess grooves, so can I just pop them off?

I think a hair dryer and wd40 should work if you are patient and take your time. Be careful you can take laquer off with them.

carefully run a stanely knife round then they will/should just unclip from around the door

What covers do you mean? Those cheesy wind deflectors or some kind of trim?

A real newbie question I'm sure, but is there any particular trick to removing these covers?

I have a 95 kzn130 surf.
