very true I bet they were a little shocked to find 15-ish people there with 11 trucks...

Glad there were many of us tho cus I wud not have wanted to know the outcome...

well i got a very nice reply from the welsh bobbies today.the fellow i spoke to told me he was passing the complaint on to a more qualified (ie traffic) cop.he said he could not discuss the outcome of the enquiry ,whereby he pulled the plate mumbers and so on..............but if i wanted to lodge a formal complaint, there was sufficent evidence to proceed....watch this space

When we did the work on the Wayfarer, a guy in a Defender came along, with his wife and grandkid in the car, no tools, no recovery stuff, CB - just three people, 2 elderly and one under 10 - and the little girl was happily telling us they were "offroading".....the LR was FILTHY too - whereas all our vehicles, having done the same route were mostly clean.......

We can be a little pedantic at times - to most people, laning = offroading so you can excuse the terminology. His truck may just have been dirty from oily handprints when its being perpetually fixed

And I know its silly to have no gear with you, but you'd have to be VERY unlucky / stupid to get stuck on the Wayfarer, and the place is usually like a bloomin A road, it sees so much traffic.

No, that was the one with the B-17 memorial on it. The direction he came from was tarmac not far down, and is also a very easy lane - doubt he'd have made much further past us nonetheless!

It was a Toyota Avensis too. As Boyo would say 'Toyotas Rock!!"

i have been in email contact with an outstanding member of the local constabulary,he is the tregaron neighbourhood local man.he has done two sterling things.
he is an offroad enthusiast himself, and abhors this kind of behaviour, agreeing it could ultimately lead to lane closures.
he has left his contact details, so that if an incident occurs again,we can call him.he sadly has no offroad facility at work, but is more than prepared to meet the protagonists on the road.
he also assures me that action has been taken against these two muppets.
the police come in for quite a slating on occasion, but this time i have nothing but praise for their measured prompt response...spot on.

no set up...it was just a group of idiots bereft of brain cells....who unless action is taken against will lead us to green lane oblivion.
