You'll need to give me a few weeks, then we'll sort it out, I'll bring some Glayva and beer and we'll put the world to rights first, then sort the engine - sound OK to you?

As I understand it from a friend of mine that owns a garage, the rules are that if the vehicle has no tax, it must be recovered/transported in a way that the wheels don't'make contact with the road - given it is called road fund license.....and I don't want to take any risk in a trip from Southam to Solihull as there are too many places that the ANPR cameras would be located, and it's not worth it....

So I'll get on the phone to a few localish companies on Monday and see what our options are.....
yep thats spot on,for recovery charges, average is 55/65 pick up,usually covers first 10 miles, after that most are 80p/£1 a mile each way

                Can anyone out there help.........please???
Get it MOT,d and taxed for 6 months then drive it up, ( assuming its driveable) Probably work out cheaper than trailering it up. Am I being too simplistic ??

No you can't - if the car doesn't have tax, you can't use a fixed bar rig - as the wheels will still be on the tarmac - and I doubt the AA would take a car to a car supermarket, without tax!
