  • Car trailer in Warks

Hello - does anyone near Nina or I have a trailer that our Peugeot will fit on? We need to transport it to Solihull, but it has not tax or MOT so we are not allowed to just tow it there - and searching for trailer hire companies is becomming silly now......

    Can anyone out there help.........please???

book an MOT at your destination and get proof, you are allowed to drive to a pre booked MOT
works for my brother when he returns from Spain after a year away!
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

I still won't be able to drive to the test station with no tax - I'd need trade plates to do that - I don't fancy being on Road Wars by getting picked up on ANPR - or more accurately, I don't want that happening to Nina

And Rich - we really need it gone this week as we need the space for the camper....

Rules say you must book it in to your nearest MOT station.

Nearest to where the car is registered i.e. normally your home address. There may be exceptions but try arguing the toss with a beligerant copper!

                        So it's a no then

As I understand it from a friend of mine that owns a garage, the rules are that if the vehicle has no tax, it must be recovered/transported in a way that the wheels don't'make contact with the road - given it is called road fund license.....and I don't want to take any risk in a trip from Southam to Solihull as there are too many places that the ANPR cameras would be located, and it's not worth it....

So I'll get on the phone to a few localish companies on Monday and see what our options are.....

Dude - buy a map man

I'm a 2.5 hr drive from Bristol, Solihull is next to Birmingham - right by the airport.....

Actually, I'll send you a road atlas with the seals when I can get off my arse and drive to my house.....

Who would have thought it would be MY mobility slowing down the engine swap?????
