  • Its happened again!

Ok so i was having my sat afternoon snooze when i heard a big bang outside. I went outside and guess what! yes another surf possibly written off ready for breaking .

And yes its another drunken foreign idiot whom I think may not have any insurance.

Looking at the surf and the pics it seems only light damage ,but he hit the wheel and snapped the steerings rack in two places and also snapped the power steering .

This happened to me two years ago with my last surf too!!!

I always work better wet .

Its why I became a plumber!!!

          Cheers Trev

I have a sneeky suspicion insurance might want to right her off, there more damage than it looks .
After i spent a fortune on getting her back up to scratch.

Had the head done too! 4 months ago

I got the guy nicked for peeing in a public place too. The idiot crashed the car drove it up the road 200 yards , parked it in the middle of the road and got out to have a pee.

With kids playing in the street. Some of my neighbours wanted to pound him lol

to be honest mike the damage dont look that bad,im sure its no more than a hundred quids worth from a breaker. drop arm and steering arms and front bumper and she will be as good as new,2nd gens dont have steering racks, that looks like the steering damper .

GET THEM TO WRITE HER OFF, BUY HER BACK FOR WHAT, 10%?
                sorry, shouting, caps lock.......
then do the repairs. good value that. OK she might have a black mark against her come re-sale, but when the time comes, just break her for parts.

have you had the steering recall done? that is the part they change because they snap, could have been a dodgy one?
Did I mention I have a BLUE one

Is there any chance of other damage that wouldnt be visable because the wheel took the brunt of the crash???

Bent wishbones? Bent shock? Might mean you'll never be able to get the tracking / geometry right if the wishbones are bent, but as Legend said, if its written off buy it back and sort it with bits from a breaker.
