Is that bolts I see on the right, from a swing out rear wheel frame? Is it that easy and neat to take off?

And please, someone tell me roughly how much it is to add a tray.

        Thanks!

yep they are the bolts, dont forget u wud have the bracket on the boot tho,so easiest is to get another boot for underslung model(look at bushs boot) or plate it like mine,as for tray i guess u mean underslung, its just the necessary brackets u need to under boot

Aint read through the postings and not sure if want to fit one or want to take one off! but by the question it's the latter im guessing, yes it's 8 bolts and a bit of a bugga to get at, your then left with 8 holes and marked paint around em as the brackets have a sticky film between them and the body, you'll then either need a underslung tail gate or (i think, not 100% sure) the no plate/rev lights panel from from one, thats the back sorted,
youll then need all the mcgubbins to fit the wheel underneath, assumeing you got the hole in the bumper already (or you'll need the proper bumper) you need the winch assembly, wheel locating hangers, (unless your running oversize tyres) and the lowering handle etc, you'll need to check behind the hole in the bumper to make sure the plastic handle guide is there or you need one o them as well

just looked through my pics but did'nt take any of the underslung gear before i removed it so you best bet is to get this stuff from stormy or whoever and ask em if they'd take a few pics of the location points and general "set up" the lowering/raiseing winch bits a bit of a puzzeler as there's several holes in the chassi crossmembers already and ya dont need all of em, so some pics would save some head scratching

I have to say I am an underslung fan myself. Towing is the main problem with a spare in the way. Plus if you're running on 33" tyres like me- you don't wanna' be lifting that huge tyre up and down that far- especially if the truck is 8" higher than stock!! In fact I defy anyone to lift these big tryes much higher than chest height! With a bit of brute force and ignorance a 33" tyre will go underslung okay- although my custom exhaust was tailored to give the tyre a bit more clearance. Also with BIG tyres the Centre Of Gravity effect comes even more into effect- you REALLY do not want a big spare tyre any higher up than it needs to be- especially if you intend doing any offroading!

The spare is easier to remove from the rear carrier on a 5" lifted truck than it is to drag it from under a stock height truck.

ah ha, what happens if your truck's lifted too high and the chain doesn't reach the floor?

A lifted truck will most likely have wider tyres.

and deeper offset wheels to negate the effect of the wider tires
