True It was BMW's attempt to knock on the door of ferrari ...but it was so pricey that they never really sold....full of hi tech... a bus system for the electrics were components/modules have an address and just power. active suspension...variable damping....rear wheel steering....anything BMW could cram in their flagship....

in fact a direct copy of the uzz 32 toyota soarer of which i have a uzz 31 (for weekend fun) which does'nt have the 4 wheel steer active suspension just adjustable air sus and lots of other toys and gadgets beloved by the japanese, and from one extreme to the other tracee has a smart car which she loves to bits but i can't get on with, but only £35.00 road tax and 60+ mpg it has its merits.

Buyer beware.... things can turn very very pricey......the 850 has a great engine....I think I'm right in claimg the 850 engine went on to become the powerplant in the McLaren F1... its an engine that needs a good mechanic...

i have'nt got one to hand at the moment but pop across to the Lexus soarer owners club and there are lots over there they all look the same in shape its just what is under the bonnet that is the difference especially the twin turbo modded to singles giving up to 500 bhp. mine is only 320 bhp but there are a couple of supercharged V8's that produce 400+ bhp, and the yanks are working on a turbo charged V8 which will produce even bigger bhp but it does mean that the auto gear box will have to be changed as 500 bhp is the max it can take.

i like my comfort to much to drive a noisy car built for speed over comfort,mine suits me down to the ground o-60 6secs top speed ? only had it up to 140 mph and it was still pulling like a train..

My LS was like that before I tore it apart, took for a blast up the dual carriageway near me and the damned thing didn't stop accelerating, and the gear changes were seemless too.
