Now this sort of stuff reallt p*sses me off!! My wife has a car, I have a car and the Surf, all are correctly taxed, tested AND insured.

I ain't rich but if I couldn't afford to run them all legally I would get rid of one. Why do some people think that it's okay to drive an uninsured vehicle? You may buck the system for a while but sooner or later something nasty is going to happen.

all policies differ, ring yr insurance and check, but as most say prob not if it's his name,u could put the calibra in yr name tho,but whichever way u do it,when he gets pulled, and u know he will round here by one of those lovely police bmws with numberplate recogognition cameras front and back,it will show as no insurance,so make sure first, him saying the insurance company saids it ok,means didly squat cause he will have to produce his docs up the road from yr house lol

The point is that I don't want him to drive that d@mn car, so it is not going in my name!!

Scorpion, I'm pi$$ed off about it myself! It is not that he can't afford it but just that he is being a complete d!ck about it! Am so ready to murder him......

Tell him to try driving it past a police vehicle. If he's being such a nob, just keep out of it. No idea why you're still trying to talk sense into the muppet, personally.
