diff breathers

i needed something to do to day will i wait for more bits from toyota
so i made thses will they do
not fully finished but the diffs breathers will stay were they are for a while yet

i got 2 of them for 1 quid each
put 1 on the back



and one on the front



i passed the front pipe up and round the frame of the truck tye rapping it to anything that did not move
so it did not fowle on anything
cut a hole in the rubber bung in the bulk head



the pipe comes up by the drivers door and on to the dash
graff tape was my choise



i passed the back diff pipe round the frame tye rapped to it
keeping it clear of the exhaust pipe tho



then up and through the floor cutting a hole in the rubber bung again
then it ends there
again gaffer tape is my choise
but will it do?

i used carlton hydrolics cant spell it tho

I think theres a breather on the gearbox too.....somewhere, on top I think.

in fact matey if ya find it hard to get hold of some i can get them
its only 2 roads away from me to get some

I got them today, cheers for offer though mate, very generous, I think the gearbox breather is on top of box.

What size thread are the pipe connectors, I guess they are threaded?

yep i found it today the breather on the gearbox toyota did me a print out
a very nice man at toyota soooo help full
but i have been in there every day for the last week
i will post mi problems in a new thread

oh yes if ya find somewere close to you the would make them breathers take out the back one to use to make sure its the right fit
but put a bung in the breather hole i used a bolt i just threaded it in a little but i only drove 2 roads away

i used 5 meters of 6mm pipe
2 petrol filters
2 brass shanks
all cost a tenner
the pack of tye rapps cost me 7 quid i used about 12 of them
