  • Bike sold..but has it..?? Trouble ahead..??

Sold my R1 on ebay last week..It was a Virgin Mobile race rep with 11500miles on it. Regardless of initial impressions (ie having the race fairing) it hadn't been raced or crashed, just an enthusiasts project.

A girl won it for the start bid of £2250 and came over from Ireland to collect. She's now saying the projector light on the front is not legal and demanding £500 back. I never rode the bike in the dark so i wouldnt know how well it worked or not as the case may be, i did get the bike with a full MOT however.

I told her she I aint offering any money back, the bike's value is greater than what she paid for it regardless of what it is 'worth' to her. And i would take it back if she was not happy.

Just wondering what other peoples view on this is as i feel like a piece of shit even though i havn't done anything wrong

    Not your fault..
if it passed an MOT then it's legal..
She is just trying u on.. ebay sales are a legal binding contract..
Don't worry about it.. sold is sold..

and if she thinks the light is not legal then it is up to her to change it but I can't see it not being legal if it passed an MOT
One day at the time I guess..

One of my bike in the past had a projector type bulb. Some MOT testers were fine, but one did tell me to change it. Not sure where £500 comes from though, as headlights available from breakers for much less than that.

Why do people have to be a$$holes on Ebay?!?!

I was going to say aswell that £500 is a f**king joke to replace a part like that.

I'd tell her to f**k off!

Yes I went. Nigel won the racing and Rob Williams in the Red Dragon won the freestyle. You should make an effort to go and see some the noise is the best part it will blow you away. You should go to monster jam in june at Cardiff millenium stadium the americans are total fruit loops.
