    just booked a campsite in france...2 weeks in july
    any tips on taking the surf abroad gratefully received..
    eg.-do those sticker things work on your headlights?
    also,i thought i saw a thread about height problems on the ferries...

    No problem on the tunnel the limit is 1.85mtrs,so i just take the roof bars off.

      Just a note in general....You go anti-clockwise round a round-a-bout (i believe) and watch for mad frenchmen in Citreons a peugeots. When I was over there as a young kid you could litteraly see wheels coming of the ground.

      Best people to speak to (literally or not) is the AA. Try their website on www.theaa.com for tips on travel abroad

        just watch them FRENCH folk as they always drive on the wrong side of the road. WARNING dont go near the ARC DE TRIUMPH its totally bonkers

          Bog standard Surf height is no problem for the Tunnel or Ferries.

                Dont know bout outside Paris but having been there last year it seems EVERY car has damaged quarters. They see a gap, try to squeeze in and only when they have nudged both the car in front and the car in the rear do they give up.

                Also Markys dead right about the Arc de T, I took a video looking down from the top with the digicam and still cringe every time I look at it, its a tribute to them that they live after a lap.
