Can anyone help please, I took the window shields off my motor and am now left with loads of white silicone sealer which is a pig to get off, I tried using 'Meths' but when I came too the silicone was still there, any ideas welcome! Is there a paint friendly solvent for silicone???

Screwfix direct also supply Silicone/acrylic sealant remover and being a builder I can highly recomend it as I've used it on a number of occasions and it has no effect on paint,etc.£1.99 buys you a small pot. www.screwfix.com.

I am so glad, that when I took mine off today, there was just a strip of draft excluder type stuff. A couple of times over with some T-Cut brought the paint up. The only problem now is that there are chips in the paint where the n/s one was rattling.
          It's only a hobby!
