  • Today @ Baldhu SRTTS Pics

    some pics from today...enjoy

At this point I decided to abandon ship

Yes it was a certain Pirate who got stuck, but neither wanted recovering by me......strange that.
It wasn't my Fronty that needed two Surfs to pull him out!!

    When I left, Baldhu had claimed ;
    1x front diff
    1x l/h/r door
    possible 1x front cv joint
What have I told you about thinking Erroll

It was persistantly raining here Thursday night /Friday morning....I took my son to work @ 06:30 Friday and was going through up to 2 foot of floodwater, but by 08:30 it was drying up. Wouldn't have wanted to camp out tho

We were lucky with weather today and surprisingly Baldhu was quite usable

            Good pics

I love the irony of the last ones - a sound made by a cat running a muddy goldfish bowl

So pray tell, who dragged your sorry butt out of that puddle ?

Dunno, but it takes TWO Surfs to rescue a Fronty.........and only ONE fronty to rescue a Surf

And by the time the Pirate had been dragged out the mud, I had to lead them both back to safety

Worryingly it was Sledges' front diff and the Yetis' CV/axle that went......these guys are taking US onto the Plain ?

Jealous as alll fawk guys - looks like you had some fun !

We were supposed to meet up with Richard and Kevin while we were in Redruth last month but it all got rather difficult one morning when we had a run into Newquay .....

I was following a line of traffic at a moderate speed (honest !) and I lost the back end on a slight left hand bend - after the usual correct/over correct/correct sequence I managed to use an Octavia to slow down, did a 180 and went up a bank backwards !

A rather interesting time for me - herself was in a blind panic but the kids weren't upset. A couple of days later I heard that there were three accidents at that point around the same time so I suspect there was summat on the road. She goes in to get a new bumper, wing, mirror etc on 15th

We did bump into a Mr P Storm in Newquay though - well not so much bump as scream at him as he drove past with his daughter !

Anyway that's diverted the thread for long enough - good stuff guys, with a bit of luck (and a bagfull of money) we'll make it next year

                    PS
The good thing about it is that I've been moaning about the rubber being crap ever since we bought the car and the boss has decided that we're going to replace it - all I need now is a bag of dosh and it's 5 BFG AT's (But I wish we could afford a lift cos then it'd be 33's !)
