33's as a max really george. rodleach has 35's but loses a bit of articulation offroad.you would want at least 4" inches of lift for that,

landcruiser springs, ball joint spacers, 2 " inch body lift, extended braided brake hoses at least +3 inch shocks. any more isnt really going to get you anywhere better

forgot...lose the anti roll bars.it makes going round corners a bit slow, but gives you spot on axle twisties
    Non intercooled nothing.

Well I have two surfs one with 5" of lift and one with 14" (soon to be 19") I think the bigger the better both of mine are superb off road but after 5" its becomes a tad exspensive. Its also addictive mine will never be big enough.

        mmmm
        so a 4'' is better than a 6'' lift?
        35's sound nice tho
        is it costly?

you wont be able to blimmin move george. rod is regearing his 2.4 so he can actually get some performance uphill.any more than that you will nedd serious lifting and the such.
and as these machines are independent front suspension, you will end up lowering the whole frame.....which kinda defeats the clearence gain from the body. the body will be say 10 inches in the air, and the front ifs frame wil still be about the same height as it ever was.

if you want serious lift, consider a solid front axle swap, but consider a bigger engine as well

if you look about george, you can find a decent 3.0 litre surf for about a grand or so.another grand on top, should have you lifted 5" inches wearing 33's and having a lot of fun.

I think you may have issues nothing to do with the size of your 'truck'!

                            T'is true!!

Very limited space, Even with a big lift when it starts flexing something is going to get trashed!!

Its not unbearably sluggish!! Its not very nice if you press the go pedal an then rethink an realise your pulling out in front of someone an theres not quiet enough guts to drag your sorry Fat ass out the way....

When i looked at the ratios i believe at the moment i have 4:1 an going up to 5.29's is going to be a fecking huuuge difference.
It will just make the truck alot more acceptable with road manners etc.

plus it comes with a reeeeeeeaaaaaaally cool Yukon sticker!

                              Would just like to add...

Im happy with the 35's but i personally wouldn't recommend them to anyone who does off roading thats a bit more hardcore then my pottering up rough lanes...

An George mate , (glad to see you back btw...) I know you like things a bit rough in your truck, a 35" tyre on the end of a toyota IFS being flung about will f*ck somet up a treat!
