£160.00 for labour

I just wondered how it compared with others ?

thats what I was thinking.

They are a regular garage I use and have always been good on part costs, basically a couple of quid on what i can get the parts for.

Perhaps there supplier over charged them for the parts? I did query it as I was expecting up to about £40.00 max for the belt. not £85.00 . hmm

oh well, whats done is done.

Stop whittling. They've sorted a job that you obviously wouldn't have been comfortable doing yourself, and it ain't exactly extortionate. I'd be quite happy with that price for the work done, personally. Trying to save a few bob usually causes far more grief than it saves.

I am driving to wales tomorrow from Kent, hence getting the work done.

I didn't fancy breaking down in a field in the middle of nowhere (my aunt and uncles farm)

I might do when im next down after this weekend. this weekend is on a tight time scale as the main reason for the visit is my cousins wedding on Saturday and then sobering up for driving back on Sunday.
