  • £313.14 for cambelt kit etc is that about right?

    £313.14 for cambelt kit, front brake pads and brake cleaner. All fitted is that about right?

    £85.00 cambelt kit
    £19.00 Break pads
    £02.50 Break cleaner

    £106.50 for parts
    £160.00 for labour

    £46.64 VAT

    Total £313.14

    I just wondered how it compared with others ?
    If it can be broken it can be fixed

        Whats in the 'kit'? Belts are only about 15 quid on their own.

                  Stop whittling. They've sorted a job that you obviously wouldn't have been comfortable doing yourself, and it ain't exactly extortionate. I'd be quite happy with that price for the work done, personally. Trying to save a few bob usually causes far more grief than it saves.

                      that is very true.

                      I am driving to wales tomorrow from Kent, hence getting the work done.

                      I didn't fancy breaking down in a field in the middle of nowhere (my aunt and uncles farm)

                      I'm looking forward to the drive they live near abbarwistwith (something like that) and the roads / views are amazing

                              I might do when im next down after this weekend. this weekend is on a tight time scale as the main reason for the visit is my cousins wedding on Saturday and then sobering up for driving back on Sunday.
