Bio, i turned the PC on earlier, and whacked the IE button a few times to get fav places up but didn't get round to looking at the forum till now.

I guess not having kids means I don't take the porn seriously, especially late at night. (having few cans of Foster while working in the garage till midnighht taking the head of our Pug aslo helps relax a person) Sorry if it offends that much. But I get rid of it when I can get on here. If the others don't get it, I'm always online early in the morning as well before mucking out the dobbins, and delete it then.

Its the main reason I like being a mod, getting to read things people have posted and then had second thoughts.

I liked it, but then again, I'd be fully in favour of binning the kid friendliness and having some grown-up fun.

But there are other places for that I guess, and for some reason, lots of people want to have kids.

The forum is intended to be friendly to the younger of us ........Rowan is not alowed on here before i have been on OR at night .........it's the w@nkers that do it at lunch time on a sat or sun that is what gets my goat .........................

Its true, it is, and your right it annoying that you can't trust it to be clean as much as you'd like for kids to view. But I doubt no matter how many mods (and you don't want it to get silly) there will always be time when a mod isn't on line when the spam gets posted.

You're doing all you can from your end, I do what I can, others to, and thats as good as it gets for now.

A suggestion - a forum I moderate/administer has an approval widget in the php software - new users have their posts held for approval by a moderator. (Mods get an email telling them there is a post awaiting approval)

Once mods are happy with the poster, they can add that user to the auto-approval list, whereby their posts are automatically approved as soon as posted.
You can also use this as a sanction, i.e. by removing their auto-approval.

This tends to clamp right down on the porno spam, as normal users can't see the offending posts if they haven't been approved.

Hmmmmmm, I log on a lot more than stated, and logged in a few times since the 3rd, don't always show when I am online as I log in as Koi and sometimes as Admin which doesnt always show as its mostly hidden from showing as online.

I have deleted many many posts with porn on them during the small silly hours of the morning. Doing shift work I log in at all manner of times, probably explains why you rarely see porn posted overnight, I have usually deleted it before most are out of bed.

I will look / consider at moderating maybe the first post of all new people that sign up.
