Its not all about 1 million horse power computers with wheels.
The best car I've ever driven was a Mk1 MR2. No kidding! About 130BHP, no power steering, or ABS, or any of that.
Some highlights of what Ive driven...
The exotics - Porsche 911 (both non-turbo and turbo), Porsche 968 club sport (thing with the roll cage in), Porsche 928, Ferrari 328GTs
Rally prepared cars - Subaru Impreza, Lancer Evo VI, 2 litre Vauxhall powered Mk2 escort, various other Mk2's, Cossie Sierra
Road cars - some Impreza or other, Mk2 turbo MR2 with getting on for 350BHP, Audi Ur Quattro, some nice Alfas, ohhh... etc etc etc
If I wanted something fast these days, I want something that gives ME something to do, some feedback, and a reason to turn round and look at what I've just parked when I get out of it.

But you generalise on the models.......... they aint all computer assisted.

hmmmm ok we arent gonna go for a who's driven wot argumenty are we?lolol
all im gonna say is ive worked in around the motor trade a long time and we all have our favourites, mine being e30 m3,ferrari f40(but vvvvvvvv uncomftable),porsche 959,but tbh,my fav was my r33 skyline, purely for the shock factor of passing porsche drivers and the look on their faces

Exactly!
Thats my point!
Hell, I've flown in a BAE Hawk at 450mph at 200ft!
Its much faster than a Skyline so there!
Who cares? I'd rather have an Alfa GTV 3.2. Its nowhere near as fast, but I'd sit and stare at it all night. I'd enjoy sitting in it. A Skyline? Oh yeah, another one of them dull-o-boxes with some guy who thinks his Almera is somehow better because its got a turbo the size of a wheelie bin.
Oh well...
With the 'my car has more BHP than your car' thing that seems to be important to the EVO / Impreza / Skyline etc crowd, there does seem to be parallels to the 'my cock is bigger than your cock mentality of the school showers I'm afraid.
Fast cars are gay. period
My mate bought a BRAND NEW RB320. Despite, as I pointed out, he could have had a two year old British Racing Green Jag XKR with tan leather for less. "But its not as fast" he said. At which point, I shook my head in disbelief.
