Car trailor

Does anyone know of a decent trailor for sale capable of carrying a surf.
It doesn't have to be anything special but its got to be tidy.I have a few on watch from ebay but just thought i'd ask on here also. Not to expensive either though

What about hiring one? You wouldn't need to store it then when not in use.

i did think about that but i can store the trailor at the farm where we camp for the rtts.I just want one for collecting trucks and then carting them off to the sc rap yard after i finished with them and in the long run it will work out cheaper for me to own one then to keep hiring one

Make sure it's got good brakes rich, i towed my surf back on a trailer with my surf and it pushed me straight accross a junction.

Thanks Chris,i'll remember that. I'm just planning ahead a bit now aswell for when my compensation is payed out as i am still having some small probs with the hip at the moment. It seems like i may have some nerve damage still which may end up permenant, i have also lost the reflex in my right foot.

if you are not using it that often have you thought about a harvey frost
i have used one a few times towed everything from mini to transits
and they are designed to be folded flat the only down side to them
is when they are not loaded they are a bit top heavy?

ps when i had one in the back of a hilux pick up and was playing to see what it would do i picked my surf up and took it for a drive no problem just dropped

havent got any suitable for the moment im not really into them any more now I work fulltime elsewhere.
anyway it depends if youll use it for anything else or not, if not you can get a nice transporter. Brian James do some great kit and Ifor williams' CT177 is also great. using a car transporter will give you lower centre of gravity but some beavertails arent bad either but youll need a 16' bed really. They might be a bit pricey though although some older cheaper ones can weigh 1000kgs before you stick anything on so watch out. if you need any help with ones your looking at drop me a PM etc.

I normally just hire one when I need it, £40ish for a day means vs £1k-2k is a lots use before you're saving money. And you don't have to store it.

I've towed a lot with many trailers, try to resist a 'cheap' trailer on ebay. especially with a 2 ton Surf on the back you don't want to be taking any chances, its not worth the hassle.
