  • Immobiliser/Alarm documentation

Hi, my insurance firm has just written to me asking for me to confirm with documention proof of my immobiliser. When filling in the details online for my insurance i entered i have an 'AutoWatch' Immobiliser ,as this is written on the fob. Which got me a good discount ,so it must be a half decent immobiliser. But now they want proof and this being an old motor did not have any documents for the 'AutoWatch' .How can i prove this? Could i just photograph it or would i have to get a big name garage to confirm or even worse a trip to the cop shop(must get them spliff butts out the ashtray!)?
The immobiliser is in full working order ,just got no paperwork.

Try to find a local Alarm installation company and get them to service the alarm.

If it is a recognised model they should be able to issue a certificate for it.

      as growler says,

i got a cert from a local alarm / imob center

I cant remember how much I had to pay for it, and it only took hime a few minutes to do.
If it can be broken it can be fixed
