Joker - pls report on the quality of the filters when you get them. Is yours the 3.0TD?

all the filters are boshi
been getting them from sdn ,roughtrax etc all the same except the price

milners is the cheapest kzn185 , only the air filter is different

I see you've got the 3.0TD - and you say all filters etc are fine? OK I'll order a couple of sets.

Otherwise, I've received the wrong parts from Milners in the past and friends on the ELCO website (with 80 series cruisers) have had big problems with Milners bearings (and CVs I think). These are parts that take a beating and so I always try to buy the best that I can afford.

The bearings I've taken out of my front hubs have a standard bearing id number on them. Presumably then I can just go to my local bearing shop and order them. There's nothing special about them.

Enzo, I've had milners filters several times now. They seem just fine. No better or worse than any others I've used.

I believe, (if what I've heard is correct), that the only general thing they lack is the drainback valve, i.e: the one that holds some oil in the filter on engine shutdown.

To be honest, where the oil filter is concerned, the genuine Toyota one is the one I would recommend if spending a few quid more ain't a problem. The 30002 does, by all accounts, also have a second bypass element.

Do they do GUD filters over here?

For the 3.0TD:

Oil: 90915-03006/2: is a GUD Z230

Fuel: 23303-64010: is a GUD Z188

If it was a few quid more then I wouldn't have a problem but in EA a genuine Toy filter is about 4 times the price of a Boshi.

They probably are over here too. They are about £15 quid from the dealer. Oil filters are the one area especially where I personally believe economy types ought to be avoided.

Only once in seven years have I brought filters from elsewhere other than Milners n haven't had a problem !!!!

Me too, Cant complain on quality or price at £10 for the 3 filters,plus the usual postage and vat. Been using them since I've had the truck and no issues yet
