2.4's not the same

Just a small question,

between me my brother dad and friend we have 5 x 2.4 surfs.

2 of them are quite sluggish off the mark and the other 3 are quite quick but all the top end speeds are pretty much the same. Any Idea why.

Not to woried mate 1 of thems mine ive had it 3 years with not a spot of bother, but it can get you in trouble sometimes leaving junctions. My other one goes like sh!t off a shuval

just wondered if it was just one of those things or something could be done about it.

My 2.4 is quite nippy, and it hasn't even got a turbo.................yet.



p.s. I think it's the petrol in the tank instead of diesel thats making it faster.

It depends on how they were treated in japan .........mine was modded over there and was rapid ......Lurch's old one was a slug

Check the gear ratios, makes a big difference to acceleration.

There is a big difference in how some 2.4's drive, very noticable when you drive lots.

Honestly, never felt my 2.4 was slow... EVER! An it does accelerate up hills, well at least.... used to!

It's mainly just the initial take off from a stand still, it sort of thinks about it for a couple of sec's then of it goes. dosn't bother me just wanted to know if was a mechanical prob that needed fixing or thats just the way she is. My other ones goe like a rocket
