  • Pike fishing

Anyone know of a good place for 8 or 9 lads to go pike fishing in Sept? An any good hotels for 3 nights somewhere close to the fishing but with some nightlife? Found a few on the internet but they can't accomodate that many on the boats.
How can I be lost when I've got no where to go

We used to go spinning for pike in Cotswold Water Park, near South Cerney. The spinning wasn't entirely to do with the pike, and I wouldn't say it's encouraged.... But there are some quite big pike in there...
        it's in me shed, mate.

Norfolk broads, plenty good piking and lots of accomodation around.

http://www.pikezander.co.uk/venues.htm is a good website with lots of waters to fish and most of them will have local B&B to stay in.

Also place like Grafham & Rutland, not open all year for Piking so you will need to check when they are open for Piking.

Loch Lomond has good pike and I'm sure Duck Bay marina has a nightclub.

As Nigel said, Norfolk Broads. We hired huge boat from Horning Marine, in september you have a great chance of taking them off the top with surface lures whilst having a deadbait in as well. Plus there is pubs dotted along the river banks, each boat will have a map on its wall somewhere so you can cruise up and down the interlinking broads.
You can also get to Great Yarmouth for the night clubs if thats the sort of thing your'e after..............
