  • hi newbie lol few questions

    hi sorry for the following daft questions lol
    me and my partner are looking at purchasing a 3.0ltr d surf as i would be using while out hawking.
    and just a few q's i have
    1 what sort of range do u get on a tank of fuel
    2 what to look for while buying one
    3 heard some nasty probs about head gaskets and heads is this true?

    and have a good search ......2.4 diesels are prone to heads cracking but there are alot of good ones out there

            depends how u drive it,u will get close to 30 mpg if u drive like old lady,close to 20 if you drive like a teenager,and mine is poss available at the right price?

              I'm averaging around 250 -270 on a full tank Could probably get a few more if i drive it below 70 on motorways

                i get 22-23mpg at the moment - roughly 400kms (250miles) before the light comes on and it costs £65 to fill it up from that stage. i do a lot of motorway driving though and tend to cruise at 70ish - if i did 60 i'd probably get a fair bit more but i might fall asleep through boredom!
