I realy do know how you both must feel, pup and me are both thinking of you.

        all the best

DON'T CRY FOR ME WHEN I'M GONE
Three score and ten are given to man, But ours is a much briefer span.
So, though I give you all my heart, The time will come when we must part.
        But all around you, you will see, Creatures that speak to you of me;
A tired horse, a hunted thing, A sparrow with a broken wing ...
        Pity - and help (I know you will) And somehow, I will be with you still;
And I shall know, although I'm gone, The love I gave you lingers on.

ah thats sad, she was a great dog who loved new friends to play with... even if they were freezing cold outside fixing the truck. I remember her and poppy always with you guys on trips to the plains etc - great dog.

                So sorry guys,
I always enjoyed throwing the ball for her.
I might have to stand around and watch tony fix the car now instead of keeping her amused!!!

I still think about my old black lab Mike, he was a star, he died more than 14 years ago and everytime I see a black lab I am right back there with him, going swimming in the local river or loch and throwing sticks.
Sorry to hear about your dog.

Sorry to hear of your sad loss. Know the feeling. Think of the good times you all had. What is it they say - be happy for having known them an not sad for the loss.

                        Safe Journey Gemma...
Thank you for providing some conditional comfort (ball throwing), on my trips to your place. It won't be the same without you.

I have stumbled across this poem a couple of times over the last few weeks, and it seems appropriate.

If it should be that I grow frail and weak
And pain does keep me from my sleep
Then will you do what must be done
For this – the last battle – can’t be won

You will be sad I understand
But don’t let grief stay your hand
For on this day, more than the rest
Your love and friendship must stand the test

We have had so many happy years,
You would not want me to suffer so
When the time comes please let me go.

Take me to where my needs they’ll tend,
Only, stay with me till the end.
And hold me firm and speak to me
Until my eyes no longer see.

I know in time you will agree,
It is a kindness you do to me.
Although my tail its last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don’t grieve that it must now be you,
Who has to decide this thing to do.
We’ve been so close – we two – these years
Don’t let your heart hold any tears.
