      Feck .........

      Failed !

      Emissions are @ 5.86 when they should have been around / under the 3 mark
      how can i get these down < the guy who done it told me to get some derv conditioner (diesel powersport by millers oils) so gonna try that filter is only been on for a month or so

      And
      Poxy ARB bracket..... they fecking anoying thing is that i was under there yesterday and all looked ok

        do a search and find out how to disable the egr valve,throw in about half a gallon of redex and a load of veg oil(make sure you dont have to much derv in the tank),then just before the mot..drive it like you stole it,should do the trick

          Take off the ARB alltogether - never noticed much difference with it gone on mine - if it's not on, it can't be tested....

          As for emissions - I plonked some Wynn's diesel magic in mine, then drove like a car thief to the test centre......cleaned it out so my emissions were very low indeed....

            Think he might be screwed for that option this time around. It's already down as a failure point. Removal won't lead to 'em being too happy when they retest it, I assume.

              He could always say the bracket was so knackered, it fell off on the way back.......

                  allready ordered new arb bracket, bolts are not sheared and both seem loose , so thats no prob

                  just to confirm , is this what i cut to do EGR mod then ?
                  block both pipes ?
                  Ps...i dont have any smoke probs at all , so will this deff help emmissions tho ?

                    no need to cut the pipe just pull the short end from the metal disc and bend it over and cable tie it or stick a bolt in the end of the pipe

                      Just had retest and emissions sailed through.
                      It failed @ 5.86
                      and after egr off and some stuff through filter came in at .65
                      Fookin huge difference
                      so legal again for another year
