  • oil or gas shocks

    hi all.
    im ordering my procomps from roughtrax, but do i go with the oil or gas shocks?

              depends on what you want

              Oil / foam cell shocks give you a much better ride & fade less on long journeys on corrugated roads than the gas filled shocks.

              Oil / foam shocks though once overheated will have lost permantley some of there absorbing qualities, but it takes a fair bit of punishment to get them hot.

              Gas shocks on the other hand fade and heat up a hell of a lot easier, but once cooled they will return to normal & will have lost none of there absorbing qualities.

              If you do 95% of your driving on lovely english roads with the occassional weekend blitz on the dirt track go for the oil / foam cell shocks.

              If you plan on driving the Canning Stock Route or the Paris Dakar go for the gas ones.

                many thanks, i think i will go for the oil ones then.
                i can get each type for £33 each so i cant go for the cheepest, now the only thing im wondering is what boots to get, blue, yellow, red or black!!!
