SVA & Registration

Hi, I'm buying a surf that is booked in for a SVA test next week, does anyone know how long it usally takes for the registration after that from DVLA? (if it passes) ie car being issued with number etc. I know DVLA tend to be a bit slow but what sort of time scales should I expect ? is it days or weeks ?

Hi Andy, I was under the impression that once the SVA center had given you the OK, (and relevent paperwork) you could take it to your local registering orifice and sort it there and then. But that sounds far too easy and effecient doesn't it?

I would be really interested in your experience as my Smurf is going in for it's SVA at the end of the month.
