  • turbo pressure sensor

    Can anyone tell me how this sensor works, i know if its not connected you get low power and turbo light is off, but cant see the connection with the turbo itself

    it tells the ecu to up the fuelling as boost cuts in.

        me an yoshie were having a debate about that at the weekend. mines didnt work cos o a burst hose when a bought the truck so i obviously thought it was the turbo sensing thing, then yoshie told me it sent the message to the ecu, me stuuupid

          The Turbo Pressure Sensor really has nothing to do with the Turbo apart from sensing the intake pressure. More pressure means more air so therefore more fuel is required. The Turbo Pressure Sensor is, as stated above, conneced to the ECU so it knows when to supply the extra fuel. The light is simply an indicator that the system is working.
