Ditto all of the above. I picked mine up in early July last year. The only problems I have had with mine have been self inflicted (being too ambitious off-road with no mods).
Although Surfs are becoming more common on our roads, I still get people admiring it and asking why it is in such good condition for a 'J' Reg. I get the impression that 2.4's are a lot cheaper than they were last year ( maybe I didn't shop around enough ) so if you got one and forked out the going rate for a repalcement head, you would still be quids in.
I'm still chuffed to bits with mine and it's the first motor I have had where the novelty has not worn off within three months. If I ever have to replace it- it will be with another surf.
