I have some brand new Pioneer 105 dvd re-writers. They are OEM models, which mean they come with no wires or software, but they are very easy to install, do not go to pc world, they will charge about £25 to install, and its ****** easy, just 3 wires, power, ide cable and sound cable. Simply unplug your old cd rom/writer and replace with the dvd rewriter.

£40 + postage.

They are grey in colour and will write at 4x on appropriate media.

- rewriters are your standard pc models on which most media is based and are compatible with most systems, and most dvd standalone home players will play them

+ re writers are used for dvd+r which are another type of media, the discs are meant to be of better quality,( but not really proved) and are usually used by standalone dvd rewriters to write to


thats a very basic analysis.............but for your average joe bloggs - writers are fine
